In the land of sun and joy, Barranquilla lights up on December 7th, with candles that shine like stars and lanterns that illuminate our dearest traditions, in a night where the sky becomes a canvas for our dreams and hopes.
Many will remember those uncomfortable moments during the traditional "Night of the Little Candle" on December 7th, the moment when a strong breeze would extinguish the candles or knock down the lanterns, and in the worst cases, burn the paper. However, in 2011, a son of Cerro de San Antonio (Magdalena), Álvaro Barranco Meza, decided to design and produce a lantern that would help mitigate those inconveniences and enhance the traditional experience of the night of the little candles.
Giving birth to the AMB lanterns to provide stability, prevent candles from going out, eliminate the hassle of scraping melted wax off the floor the next morning, and forget about the cumbersome stacking of traditional lanterns in any corner of the house, which ended up broken and dusty.
The entire experience was enhanced, providing comfort to the user and giving the lantern its own identity, full of magic and color.
